DA4S LIFE SCIENCE DIVERSITY CONFERENCE

SITUATION
The Diversity Alliance for Science helps diverse-certified suppliers connect with life sciences procurement professionals. As part of the conference, a series of educational sessions occur to help educate and better prepare suppliers to stay competitive in the Life Sciences.

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE
Using a threadbare budget, DA4S had successfully created a program that had much enthusiasm and momentum, and little production support, creative thinking, or polish. We came in to help unite the ideas and objectives with the audience in polished and professional ways that maintained the fun-loving spirit of the DA4S organization.

STRATEGY
Our strategy was multi-prong, and had to do with threading a visual identity through the experience, clarifying the theme and takeaway messages to resonate throughout every session, and creating moments of purposeful spectacle. A key deliverable was the creation of a 45-minute sing-along workshop session titled “Breaking the Mold”, in which a cast of seven performed a staged reading of this off-off-off Broadway musical about procurement in the Life Sciences.
